The product is a natural steroid sapogenin obtained from Dioscorea spp., especially the wild yam rhizomes. It is a white powder. The chemical formula is C₂₇H₄₂O₃ and the CAS number is 512-04-9. Melting point (for 95% purity grades): ≥195℃.
