What Is Superoxide Dismutase Powder?

The product is the concentrated solid-state version of the metalloenzyme EC 1.15.1.1, the body’s first line of defense antioxidant system. This catalytic enzyme, unlike consumable antioxidants like vitamin C, catalyzes the dismutation of superoxide radicals (O2•−) into oxygen and hydrogen peroxide at extraordinary rates.

Liquid enzyme preparations have major stability problems which are solved by the powder form. We lyophilize or spray dry to retain enzymatic integrity and increase shelf life to 24-36 months.
