What Is Hydrolyzed Pearl Powder?

The product is a bioactive water-soluble substance extracted from fresh water or sea water pearls by modern enzymatic or acid hydrolysis techniques.

This refined substance breaks down conchiolin protein into free amino acids and tiny peptides, unlike the standard micronised pearl powder which contains insoluble calcium carbonate. The change overcomes fundamental formulation problems: poor solubility and low bioavailability.

Hydrolysis breaks down the crystalline structures into ionic calcium and trace minerals (zinc, copper, manganese). In topical use, these components penetrate the stratum corneum readily. In oral supplements, digestion absorption is greatly enhanced.
